Sydney was swallowed whole by a night of overwhelming atmosphere and absolute sonic devastation as Ulcerate delivered one of the most intense extreme metal performances to hit the city this year. Bringing their crushing Australasian tour to Australia, the New Zealand masters unleashed a suffocating wall of sound filled with chaos, precision, and haunting beauty that left the crowd completely mesmerised from start to finish.
Supporting them was the ever-unpredictable The Amenta, performing material from their legendary debut album Occasus in full, proving exactly why they remain one of Australia’s most innovative and confronting heavy acts. Opening the night, Sorathian Dawn set the tone perfectly with a relentless and punishing performance that immediately pulled the crowd into the darkness.
From crushing riffs and hypnotic lighting to moments of pure atmosphere and chaos, this was a night that showcased extreme music at its most immersive and powerful. Check out our full photo gallery from Sydney and relive every moment of the madness.
