Electric Callboy are switching gears and showing off a darker edge with their brand-new single ‘Revery’ — and it might just be their most introspective release to date.

Known for fusing metalcore with EDM bangers and a wild sense of humour, the German genre-benders have taken a more serious turn on this track. Following the chaotic party vibes of ‘Elevator Operator’ earlier this year, ‘Revery’ dials back the madness in favour of moody atmospheres, emotional weight, and cinematic tension.

That doesn’t mean they’ve lost their edge — far from it. ‘Revery’ is still loaded with soaring choruses, thick synths, and crushing breakdowns. But this time around, there’s a lingering sense of melancholy that adds a whole new dimension to the band’s ever-evolving sound.

“We’re beyond excited to finally share ‘Revery’ with you,” the band shared. “This track shows a darker, more serious side of our sound and means a lot to us personally, because it’s so different from what we usually do. The whole process – from writing to filming a very special video – pushed us creatively and made us even more excited for you to experience it.”

The single also marks one of the final appearances of longtime drummer David-Karl Friedrich, who recently stepped away from the group. While the band hasn’t officially announced their next album just yet, ‘Revery’ is expected to feature on their highly anticipated seventh full-length.

With a visually stunning new video set to drop in the coming hours, ‘Revery’ gives fans a taste of what could be a bold new era for Electric Callboy — one that trades party lights for shadows, but keeps the adrenaline pumping all the same.

‘Revery’ is out now and streaming on all major platforms.
