For years, Bloodywood fans in Australia have been asking the same question.

“When are they finally coming here?”

In 2026, that long wait finally ends.

Indian metal phenomenon Bloodywood will make their long-awaited Australian debut as special guests on BABYMETAL’s arena tour, and according to rapper Raoul Kerr, the moment has been a long time coming.

Speaking with Metal on Tap, Kerr revealed just how much Australian support has meant to the band since their early days online.

“Australia has always been a part of our story,” Kerr explains.

“The beginnings of Bloodywood were very much an independent band making it thanks to people on the internet. We always saw Australians in the comments — sharing the music, hyping up the band, spreading the word.

Most of our success comes from supporters doing exactly that.”

Now, those supporters will finally get the chance to see Bloodywood live.

And if Kerr has anything to say about it, Australia is more than ready.

“Australia Is More Than Ready”

Bloodywood have already built a reputation as one of the most electrifying live bands in modern metal, performing at festivals such as Wacken Open Air, Download Festival and Bloodstock.

But Australia will be something special.

“It’s the first time we’re finally meeting people who have supported us for years,” Kerr says.

“This isn’t even a reunion — it’s a first meeting. And it’s going to be a monumental occasion.”

While Bloodywood are making their Australian debut, they’ll be sharing the stage with a band they already have strong chemistry with — BABYMETAL.

“We toured together in the US and there’s a lot of synergy between the bands and the audiences,” Kerr says.

“It’s the kind of crowd that can enjoy both shows. It’s going to be one hell of a spectacle.”

From YouTube Covers To Global Metal Force

Bloodywood’s rise has been one of the most unique success stories in modern heavy music.

The band originally gained attention through metal covers uploaded to YouTube, before exploding globally with their breakout track Ari Ari.

That song also marked the first appearance of Raoul Kerr in the band.

Since then, Bloodywood have gone on to release two albums — Rakshak (2022) and Nu Delhi (2025) — while becoming India’s first metal band to chart on Billboard.

Despite the rapid growth, Kerr says the band still looks back at the community that helped them reach this point.

That includes reaction videos.

“We actually watch reaction videos all the time,” he laughs.

“One of the craziest stories on tour was Rob Flynn from Machine Head telling me he went down the rabbit hole watching Bloodywood reaction videos online.”

“It means a lot because that’s a huge part of how our music spread around the world.”

Music With A Message

While Bloodywood’s music is explosive and energetic, it also carries powerful messages addressing topics such as mental health, unity, and social issues.

For Kerr, that mission is the entire reason the band exists.

“It’s the reason we make music,” he says.

“We want people to have a great time, but we also want to bring people together and create an impact.”

“The world could be so much better. Everyone knows that. Our goal is to remind people that together we can actually make that happen.”

Songs like Jee Veerey, which tackles depression and mental health, have resonated deeply with fans worldwide.

And according to Kerr, that connection is what drives Bloodywood forward.

“Our goal is to become the biggest band we can be — so we can use that platform to make a real difference.”
