Yellowcard will return to Australia in April 2025 as part of their world tour celebrating 20 years of Ocean Avenue. The band will perform the iconic album in full, along with a selection of songs spanning their entire discography.
“It has taken us a long time to sort out bringing the Ocean Avenue 20th anniversary tour to Australia, but we promise it will be worth the wait,” the band shared in a statement. “This lineup is so good, and we can’t wait to reconnect with our fans down under.”
Joining Yellowcard on this nostalgic pop-punk journey are Motion City Soundtrack, celebrating the 20th anniversary of their 2005 album Commit This To Memory, and Plain White T’s, best known for their 2006 hit Hey There Delilah.
Originally released in July 2003, Ocean Avenue became Yellowcard’s breakthrough album, propelled by its title track, which went double Platinum. The album itself was certified Platinum by the RIAA, with other singles like Way Away, Only One, and Breathing further cementing its legacy.
Yellowcard last toured Australia in 2017 as part of their farewell tour before disbanding. However, frontman William Ryan Key returned for a solo tour in 2018 and later joined New Found Glory as a touring guitarist. In 2022, Yellowcard reunited and released the Childhood Eyes EP the following year.
