The wait is finally over! Metalcore heroes LOST SOULS have announced their highly anticipated debut album, Lore, set for release on April 18. The album arrives alongside their massive new single “xMOSHLORDx”, featuring Jonathan Vigil of The Ghost Inside.
A Song Born From Chaos
“xMOSHLORDx” captures the pure adrenaline of a live show—that euphoric moment when the chorus hits, and you’re screaming every word until your lungs give out. The track is extra special for LOST SOULS, as it features one of their all-time favorite artists, Jonathan Vigil.
But the collaboration almost never happened—thanks to vocalist Kevin’s hilarious panic. When Vigil dropped by the studio to check out the band’s breakdown sorcery, a starstruck Kevin tried to escape. Fate (and a stubborn car engine) had other plans, and “xMOSHLORDx” was born.
Jonathan Vigil: “I was on tour in Australia and had a little bit of downtime when Jovi hit me up to come to their practice. I was planning on just hanging and bullshtting with the band, but when the car wouldn’t start, they just started jamming a song. I instinctively grabbed the mic and just got into it with them. Kev asked me to get onto the track with them and the rest is history!”*
Kev (vocals): “We’re basically best friends now. Also, if you see Vigil and I out on double dates or just hanging, please respect our privacy.”

Lore – A Story Beyond Music
LOST SOULS have become known for their unconventional songwriting and ability to turn mundane sounds into anthemic metalcore bangers. Their debut album Lore is the culmination of a year-long narrative that began with their viral Star Wars-inspired hit, “Childhood Died”—a track that racked up millions of streams, dominated reaction channels, and was even nominated for “Best Blergh” at the Nik Nocturnal Awards.
From the Attack on Titan tribute “My Soldiers Rage”, which went viral with its ping-pong ball breakdown (20 million views before release!), to “Dopamine”, a track featuring a riff inspired by microwave popcorn, LOST SOULS have proven they’re far from your average metalcore band.
Yet, beneath the humor and nerdy references, Lore delves deep into themes of morality, mental health, and the modern world. It explores how fictional heroes and villains shape the values of entire generations, offering moral guidance without the wars of traditional religion.
Jovi (bass): “Religion is based on stories, and each religion proclaims that all other religions are false. The stories we sing about are just as important to generations of people. These characters have taught millions how to be good people, stand up for their beliefs, and defy adversity.”
Beyond its epic storytelling, Lore tackles neurodiversity, the struggles of mental health, influencer culture’s empty chase for fame, and the soul-sucking monotony of corporate life.
Quite simply, Lore is the album LOST SOULS were born to write.
