Alex Taylor from MALEVOLENCE sat down with Jaimunji from Metal On Tap, to discuss their highly anticipated new album Where Only The Truth Is Spoken, set to release on June 20th, 2025 via MLVLTD in partnership with Nuclear Blast Records. Along with the album announcement, the band dropped their new single “If It’s All The Same To You”, which is already making waves.

The music video for the single, featuring acting legend Alan Ford (most famous for his role as Brick Top in Snatch), is a cinematic triumph, packed with an intricate art heist and a thrilling car chase. As Alex explained in our chat, “We wanted this video to feel like a film. It was a huge step for us in terms of production, and having Alan Ford involved made it even more special. He brought a unique intensity that really captured the energy of the song.” The video is also packed with Easter eggs that might give fans a sneak peek into what MALEVOLENCE has planned next.

In addition to their visual accomplishments, MALEVOLENCE has expanded their musical horizons with Where Only The Truth Is Spoken. The album includes a highly anticipated collaboration with Randy Blythe of Lamb of God. Alex shared his excitement, saying, “Having Randy on the album was surreal. His presence brought a level of intensity that we’ve never had before. It was a huge honour to work with someone of his calibre. Fans will hear the power that comes with that collaboration.”

And the excitement doesn’t end there! MALEVOLENCE is gearing up to hit Australia this May for an intense tour supporting Alpha Wolf. Alex mentioned, “We’ve always had amazing support from Australian fans, and this time we’ve got something special in store. We can’t wait to bring the new album to the stage!” The Australia tour kicks off in Cairns on May 1st, 2025, and runs through to Narre Warren on June 1st, 2025.
