Band Signs To Australian Rock Label XMusic
Set To Open For Alien Ant Farm & CKY In February.

“If Mike Patton started hearing voices, he’d probably make music that sounds like Frankenbok!”
Tom Wilson (Sense Music Media)

Melbourne metal legends, Frankenbok are set to bring about the end of 2024 with their crushing new single, Demon Tantrum.

The hectic new single features all the trademarks of Frankenbok’s unusual mix of grinding death metal, titanic riffs,  eclectic, off kilter rhythms and unsettling, frankly bizarre vocals.

The band state that “Demon Tantrum is essentially about the anger and outburst of the human condition and domestic violence.”

On Frankenbok joining the burgeoning XMusic roster, CEO Tim Mclean-Smith says
XMusic are so excited to have Frankenbok on the label and to be apart of this new chapter in their incredible journey. What’s old is new again! The Kings are back!”

**********

Frankenbok transcend the normal parameters of metal and since forming back in 1997, have forged their own path in the heavy music scene.  Creating a style all their own, the band embraces heaviness, humour and brutality all wrapped up in a fist aimed straight at your face. Something like nude wrestling in a maxiumum security wing!

Over the years, Frankenbok have suffered the curse of a revolving door musicians, with the only constant being founding member and guitarist Aaron “Azza Bok” Butler!  Azza’s style and musical vision is countered only by his tenacity and drive in forming the nucleus of what every musician strives to be, but few manage to accomplish – their own musical identity.

Frankenbok 2024 is stronger than ever and sees the return of their original front man
Adam Glynn plus drummer Tom Rossell and bassist Owen Spratling.

Demon Tantrum is the first new Frankenbok tune to feature Adam Glynn on vocals since 2002 and is their first release through new label, XMusic. Expect plenty of action from the Bok in 2025!!

So whats in a name?
Whilst living in the USA, Aaron ‘Azza’ Butler was teaching some locals a few Aussie colloquialisms, one local mispronounced “fair dinkum” as “frankenbok” and a legend was born.
