FIT FOR A KING – Ryan Kirby, vocals; Bobby Lynge, guitar; Daniel Gailey, guitar; Trey Celaya, drums; and Ryan “Tuck” O’Leary, bass/vocals – will drop their new album and eighth overall, titled Lonely God, on August 1 via Solid State Records.
The album was recorded in Los Angeles with producer Daniel Braunstein (Spiritbox).
Ahead of Lonely God‘s release, the band shares the video for Witness the End, featuring Chris Motionless.
“We didn’t care what anybody thought — we just wanted to write a deathcore song,” the band says. “It turned out to be really special. Chris did not disappoint either. Witness The End offers the most unpredictable experience of any song on Lonely God. In terms of the lyrics, it was inspired by this NETFLIX miniseries Midnight Mass, which follows an old pastor who claims he experienced a miracle and became an angel, but he was really just bit by a vampire whose blood gave him youth again.”
Fit For A King just announced a North American headline tour, with the trek kicking off on October 30 in Phoenix and running through to December 7 in their hometown of Dallas.
Fit For A King will also return to Australia in early 2026 supporting The Plot In You nationally in Fremantle, Adelaide, Chelsea Heights, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane in January. Currently, Melbourne and Chelsea Heights are entirely sold out, with tickets selling fast for Fremantle, Adelaide, Sydney and Brisbane.
